I drained the battery on my N3DS

Does the battery meter not work? Thought it the battery was still full. I was just thinking how long does it last. The red light was on too. Not sure how many hours I played total. I have a USB cable and a USB battery. I should buy a new USB battery, the newer model is smaller but it might have higher capacity.

The new model has a slightly higher capacity. It might be longer then the one I have.

Can you get a heavy duty case for the N3DS?

So I can toss it around? The screen shouldn’t break. The Zelda PDP case isn’t heavy duty enough. Also I don’t want a Zelda case. I want a blank case.

Can’t use Nintendo ID on my N3DS or 2DS

Nintendo might be able to tell I’m using rxTools, so they will probably ban me. Even if all the games aren’t borrowed. Though it would be nice to be able to buy DLC. But Nintendo doesn’t want my business.

Hyrule does indeed run better on the N3DS

The input lag might be gone. I didn’t try playing it in 3D though. From what I read, it runs better with 3D off. Should still be playable on the N3DS with 3D on. Apparently you can’t use 3D at all on the O3DS. Don’t have a O3DS, just a 2DS with no 3D.

Hyrule is a long game

I still haven’t played it on my N3DS. It’s installed. But it takes a long time to do each level, and if you screw up, you have to start from a checkpoint or all over. Might run better on the N3DS, I’ll find out eventually.

Going to have to manually install each CIA

I stupidly clicked B instead of A, when FBI asked if I wanted to overwrite something. If you click B, it gets an error, and won’t install the rest. So you’d have to click A over and over again to overwrite each title already installed. Or manually click each one, if it asks if you want to overwrite click B and go to the next one. It’ll be time consuming. I’ll be in bed.

Don’t close the N3DS when installing a bunch of CIAs

It’ll go to sleep. Looks like sleeping and resuming works though. On the 2DS, there’s a slider switch thing that makes it sleep. Does the O3DS sleep when closing it? I don’t remember, I had one in 2012. Shouldn’t of sold it. I won’t sell my 2DS. Got to keep it in case I need it for some reason. Also if somebody comes over ever, we can play a multiplayer game with it.

Finally got FBI installed somewhere

Make a backup of your NAND, don’t format the sysNAND yet. Use an emuNAND tool to format the emuNAND partition on your SD card with the new backup. After that open rxTools, hold L to get to the menu. Click advanced, click Pasta. Boot Zelda or whatever method to get to the homebrew launcher. Select FBI, and install the FBI CIA. Should show up in emuNAND too. You can probably format the sysNAND now.

Why do I have version .15 installed? I thought .17 was the newest. Better download it and install the newer version.

Injecting didn’t work for me, it just hangs. Now I have a useless Health app. Updating the emuNAND might get a working one.

Nintendo made me mad, by making it so difficult. Funny though, the instructions to install to the sysNAND only works if they are linked. Not sure I want to buy anymore 3DS games. I’ll just download legal demos instead.

sysNAND is formatting. I screwed the back back on. And the back clicks if you touch it in the right spot.

Also FBI is gone. Should of made another NAND backup. Now I have to do it again.

Update
I lied, FBI works without being linked. Now I need to backup the NAND yet again. How many times will that be?

Finally will have a backup with FBI installed. Then I can install the rest of the CIAs, then go to bed. Should be done in the morning.

Hmm if I removed the SD card, it might not of been deleted. I’ll format my N3DS while formatting the emuNAND. The SD card won’t be present.

Health app is gone. How do I get it back? Will the old dump of it work? Old dump worked.

Just updated the emuNAND. Yup FBI is still installed, sweet.

All my CIAs are installing, I can go to bed now. I’ll leave it plugged in, so it doesn’t die.

I’ll need to use the included FTP server, so I can hopefully delete the CIAs, FBI fails at deleting, it might of successfully deleted the FBI.cia, but nothing else.

How long does it take to transfer a 1 GB+ file to the N3DS over WiFi? Cause removing the back is a pain. Also might of lost one of the weird nuts. Not sure if it stayed on when trying to put the tiny screw in. I’m guessing Japanese people have tiny hands. I mean tiny fingers.

What marks?

There’s marks on my used N3DS from Amazon Warehouse Deals? I don’t see any, yeah a couple marks on the top screen, I could probably wipe them off If I cared.

They should of said the condition is like new. Best $124.21 I’ve spent in a while. Not much more then my 2DS. Way better then the 2DS, the screen is bigger. Might be faster, haven’t played Hyrule on it yet. Still trying to get rxTools setup.

If the condition of a used item from Amazon Warehouse Deals says very good, it’s probably more like new. Amazon just says very good, just in case they missed something.

I’ll wait for the used Nintendo NX’s to buy one. From Amazon Warehouse Deals.

Installing CIA files to the N3DS doesn’t work

rxTools appears to work, it boots emuNAND. Installing FBI gets an error, I can’t inject it, Decrypt9 can’t read the emuNAND or something. Says the emuNAND is unavailable.

I downgraded to 9.2. Maybe I need to downgrade again. I did format the sysNAND.

Looks like NASA is for 9.3 and higher. I wanted to install the CIA stuff before upgrading emuNAND. NASA won’t work in emuNAND, asks which exploit to use, both hang. Is there a NASA without an exploit?

Looks like you have to install FBI to sysNAND, and then recreate the emuNAND. Pretty sure I get an error in sysNAND too, using Pasta or whatever in advance in rxTools.

Nice, you have to install FBI or NASA or whatever when sysNAND is still linked to the emuNAND. I’ll try updating the emuNAND first, then I’ll make a new NAND backup and write it to the SD card. After I back the SD card up again.

NASA still doesn’t work in emuNAND. I’ll try FBI, then I’ll give up and make a new NAND backup.

Backing up NAND. I think I’ll use the inject method to get FBI. If I read that forum post correctly, injecting the sysNAND will show up in the emuNAND when linked.

The health app opens the regular app, not the injection in emuNAND. FBI still doesn’t work from Zelda. Oh, it doesn’t work, cause you have to backup the NAND after you inject it, not backup first and then inject. Try NASA one more time.

Haha, I’m an idiot. Backing up the NAND yet again. If I knew how to read, I wouldn’t have to back it up again. Takes a long time too.

Hangs when opening the health app. Just says Nintendo 3DS on the top. And Nintendo on the bottom.

Same thing in Pasta mode on the sysNAND. Are you supposed to use the with banner, or the without banner injection file?
